Mind mesh

Personal piece using inks and shaded on computer. An experiment following my mind, allowing it to create what it wanted!

My End of Year Show continued...

This is the rough skeleton of the viewing booth - great design in my opinion!

Building a show!

With the help of my Dad's DIY skills I was able to construct a sutible viewing station for my short animated film 'Anger Issues' (see earlier post)

Flyer designs

I'm getting right back into Illustration! Loving it!

Final Poster Design

This is the Final Poster design, that I had up on May day!

The BNP have been enhilated in the polls, so the project was a complete success!
If I made even one person vote or at least take an interest then that is the main thing!

The facebook community really liked the poster, so I'm happy with that.

I think the best part about this project was discovering politics on this radical scale and meeting these extreme political groups!

I now want to activly take part in the system and understand a bit more about how the whole ting works!

FLYER final

Whew! Finally got the new flyer out!

This time I think it looks good.

Bit of anger - direct message - not cluttered!

Stills of... feet!

Here are some of the stills from the animation.

I'm trying to show how with the more votes cast, the harder UAF can stamp on the BNP! Stop them from coming to power!

Slightly violent image but passive aggressive doesn't really rally anyone in this situation.

Inpromptu UAF animation!

This is not a portfolio piece, just a work that appeared out of my flyer production!

Music and Art exhibition!

My mate Zoe was putting on this event, so I thought I would take a break and go and see what all the hubub was about...

I brought a couple of my own pieces from a while ago - couple of stencils.

The venue was Shoreditch church, which in the day was pretty quiet, but when I went to get my work (about 11.30pm) the place was in full swing!

Some of the music acts were bringing in the crowds, and it was a hot evening with hot young people.

Definately worth it!

Day of action! Sunday 25th! UAF bus!

This was a bit of fun! Going around Barking and Dagenham in an open-topped bus proclaiming the message of anti-fascism!

To the chorus of "F**k off you wan***s!", "Grow up!", "F**king pr***s!" and so on...

We also got some support! A lot of waving to people...

All photos taken on my iphone as I managed to forget my Memory card for my camera... dickead!

Repaired!

Final Poster inspirations (sourced images - google)

The final poster's imagery was a combination from the Soviet depiction of The Worker, as well as the Socialist icon of the fist.

All about power to the people.

Then I saw the imagery for the posters from the film, Metropolis, a German masterpiece of black and white cinema, which is all about class struggle and the posters of which are awe inspiring.

This was one of my main influences.

The image is displayed above.

Final Poster idea! POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

I needed this poster to be POWERFUL and show people the POWER of THEIR VOTE!

I also needed to stay away from the Union Jack, because from a distance it attracts people who love Union Jacks... and repels those who associate it for the wrong reasons...

I really like this final poster - it has a dramatic comic book quality that I'm hoping will draw the eye! And very clear.

Flyer designs...

I really like the idea I've had here - it was all about building a blockade against the fascists by YOU voting! The only problem is it looks a bit tame... I fell in love with the geometric shape of the lego and as such it looks like a lego wall... hardly intimidating and not exactly an obstacle...

However, I will use this design for my 'diary' as it shows how I have built my experience!
