ALPHA-BET
This brief looked at creating a visual form of the way I speak and the language I use.
First I looked at all the various influences over the years that I had experienced, such as places, people, family, cultures (e.g. Leeds) and there is a lot that has changed my pronunciation over the years...
I thought initially it would be a great idea to apply 'an alphabet of accents'. This would be unique to me and my way of speaking, and could be applied to letters, therefore different combinations of letters would produce different sounds. There would also be different rules with the accents, but it would be like cloaking the english language with my own 'acute sound'.
However, I decided instead to go for a visual representation that not only looked good, but also represented the 'mouth' and the 'voice' - it is not as specific or personal as the accented language but still has logical rules to its construction (This is representative of why I speak like I do - I like to think about what I'm going to say!)
Therefore.... this is the Aplha-Bet! (Circle = mouth, Line = decibel)
